DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The SSA may be required to:

·       1.  Supervise the collection of data for the formulation of policies.

2.  Monitor programmes and activities of the Directorate.

3.  Collate data for the design, integration and content of website and intranet.

4.  Provide maintenance support for website and other IT equipment.

5.  Collate data for the development of strategies, standards, guidelines, procedures and processes on ICT and identity management programmes and activities for the Authority.

6.  Facilitate the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data collected under the National Identification System (NIS).

7.  Update and maintain IT software and hardware.

8.  Collate data for the design, development and review of network data security and privacy controls.

9.  Maintain proper documentation on systems architecture relating to procedures and operating guidelines.

10.Participate in the administration of databases, security systems, network and IT systems of the Authority.

11.Participate in the development and implementation of appropriate back-end and front-end technological setups to support the National Identification System (NIS).

12.Participate in the conduct of IT audit.

13.Collate data for the preparation of budgets and work plans of the Directorate.

14.Collate data for the preparation of quarterly, annual and other reports of the Directorate.

15.Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff. 

QUALIFICATION

IN-SERVICE ENTRY

·        Availability of vacancy on the grade of Officer, Technology & Biometrics.

·        A minimum of three (3) years on the grade of Assistant Officer, Technology & Biometrics.

·        Must have satisfactory Staff Performance Appraisal Reports

Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Authority in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.
