DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head, Policy, Planning, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation shall:

·        Provide inputs for the formulation of policies.

·        Ensure the preparation of the strategic plan of the Authority.

·        Ensure the efficient and effective management of the human, material and financial resources of the Directorate.

·        Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of the programmes and activities of the Authority.

·        Coordinate the preparation of annual, periodic and other reports of the Authority.

·        Coordinate the preparation of annual and mid-year budget and workplan of the Authority.

·        Ensure the conduct of impact assessment of programmes and activities of the Authority.

·      Coordinate preparation of the Authority’s Medium-Term Development Plan and Annual Actions Plan in accordance with the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) and other relevant stakeholders guidelines.

·        Ensure the implementation of the programmes and activities of the Directorate.

·    Ensure the development of guidelines, strategies and performance indicators for the conduct of research, monitoring and evaluation activities of the Authority.

·      Ensure the timely preparation, production and dissemination of fact sheets, policy briefs, research findings, reports and peer-reviewed articles.

·        Oversee the development of research agenda and research proposals.

·        Ensure the conduct of research, data collection, analysis and publication.

·        Collaborate with relevant stakeholders for the efficient and effective performance of the Directorate.

·        Oversee the implementation of the performance management system within the Directorate.

·        Ensure the preparation of annual and other periodic reports for the Directorate.

·        Ensure the preparation of the annual budget and work plan of the Directorate.

·        Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

IN-SERVICE ENTRY

·        Availability of vacancy on the grade of Director, PPRM&E.

·        A minimum of five (5) years on the grade of Deputy Director, Technical Services.

·        Must have satisfactory Staff Performance Appraisal Reports.

Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Public Services Commission in consultation with the Governing Board.
