DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Officer, HR may be required to:
· Collate data for the formulation of policies.
· Implement, monitor and evaluate programmes and activities of the Directorate.
· Develop, implement and review human resource management, policies, systems and manuals of the Authority.
· Develop, implement and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the Directorate.
· Collate data for the review of the organisational design and HR planning of the Authority.
· Implement activities relating to employee wellbeing and conducive work environment.
· Maintain cordial Management – organized labour relationship.
· Maintain and update the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) of the Authority.
· Implement disciplinary processes and procedures within the Authority.
· Develop, implement and review training policies, programmes and plans of the Authority.
· Validate staff salary and related issues.
· Develop mechanisms for succession planning and the smooth exits of staff.
· Develop, implement and review welfare and safety policies.
· Prepare budgets and work plans of the Directorate.
· Prepare annual and other periodic reports of the Directorate.
· Implement the Performance Management System of the Authority.
· Supervise and appraise the performance of subordinate staff.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
IN-SERVICE ENTRY
· Availability of vacancy on the grade of Senior Officer, Human Resource.
· A minimum of three (3) years on the grade of Officer, Human Resource.
· Must have satisfactory Staff Performance Appraisal Reports.
Must pass a selection interview conducted by the Authority in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.
